Description: We have hundreds of missionaries in the field who depend on our prayers for their effectiveness in gospel mission. One-third of the planet still has no access to the saving message of Jesus Christ. Our nation and our world are plagued with violence, hatred, persecution of believers, sin of every kind, and general hopelessness. And what can we as Christians do about all this mess? PRAY!
Every great revival started with a group of people dedicated to prayer. 2 Chron. 7:14 states:
”If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Oswald Chambers rightly stated: “Prayer does not equip us for greater works— prayer is the greater work.” This pre-conference will not only look at the biblical call to intercession, but also will discuss ways that we can equip our parishes that will give them a heart for the nations. This group will also discern how to launch a network of intercessors who can pray corporately and encourage others to gather for intercessory prayer.
Register by emailing Lollie Twyman (Please indicate “Intercessory Prayer Pre-conference” in the subject line.)
Wednesday Night Dinner at Ridgecrest: Our group will eat together on Wednesday night in the dining hall from 5:30-6:30 so we can get to know one another.
Note: Since this pre-conference starts Thursday morning, it may be necessary to add an extra night’s housing and additional meals to your Ridgecrest reservation.
